Psychotherapy

About Me
I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to achieve the wellness goals you set for yourself. I work with clients who are faced with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss and other life stage challenges.
With over 17 years experience, I have a good understanding of the impact of systemic oppression and marginalization on individuals and I carry out my work with empathy, compassion and cultural sensitivity.
I apply cultural sensitivity and humility in my therapy work. I take into account my clients’ intersectional identities, generational and historical trauma when diagnosing and treating. I am trained in Cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy for hoarding disorder, clinical practice with older adults, and interpersonal psychotherapy.
It can be challenging to make the decision to work on a difficult issue, but once you take the first step, the benefits and impact can make a great difference. I am happy to help, and to go on this journey with you. I have evening and weekend availability. You can book with me by clicking on Contact Us.
Specialties
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety and depression or trauma related to their family or relationships, and those diagnosed with cancer and are struggling with adjustment to illness and other psychosocial impacts of a cancer diagnosis. In our initial sessions, we will explore what brought you to therapy, and create a collaborative goal.
